Wood Patterns

Wood Patterns is a book that dissects and explores patterns found in the nature of wood. It draws from science, art, and design to study patterns both visually and conceptually. The book examines growth formation in trees through an exploration of grain, texture and patterns found in various wood species. Similarly, humans undergo a repetition of cycles that formulate layers of history and imperfections over time—defining and shaping the unique, individual. This book seeks to express the imperfections found in the repetition of life and nature.
